Gratitude #14 - Girl's Camp

I love Girl's Camp and I am so thankful for the program! It is truly an inspired program that not only benefits Young Woman, but Women and families!. I loved it as a Young Women myself and went back for 7 years as a young women becasue I loved it so much. Now as an adult, I have had the opportunity to go for the last 10 years with our Safford Stake and what a pleasure and joy it has been. I think that I am a better person for the experiences had at Girl's Camp. Lives are changed there for the better. Currently I serve as the Assistant Stake Camp Director, and we had our first meeting last night with our YCLs (Youth Camp Leaders). I know it is only November and we won't start meeting regularly until after Christmas, the Camp Director and myself have met and begun our planning and last night we just touched base with the YCLs to light a fire and start them thinking and get them excited. We have a great group of YCLs once again and another terrific year is ahead. Girl's Camp is a place of strengthening testimonies of who you are, of the Savior, of the Book of Mormon, of living the standards, of latter day prophets, of knowing we are children of a Heavenly Father who loves us.... the list goes on and on. Besides all that, what a fun place to strengthen friendships and bonds that will last a lifetime.
