Sing! Sing! SIng!

Christmas Choir Concerts were great to attend this holiday season! I have mentioned earlier, that Jacob is in Accapella Choir at EAC and also in the Men's Group called "The Guys" which is just 6. Jacob is 2nd from the right. He also performed in the "Messiah" along with my Mom. That was the first time I have been to the Messiah and it has been a long standing tradition here in our area. I think they said it is the longest running tradition of Messiah performances or at least the 2nd longest. It was beautiful.

Cassie is also in the choir called "Taste of Sound" at Safford High School" and the Women's Quartet group as well. Cassie is on the right. Here is just a small sampling of their small groups performing. It was awesome! (I do have to say that that the video wasn't so great once again... but just listen Ü)

These are the words to the song Cassie is singing. It is Mary singing it about her child. I had never heard it before and it was honestly so beautiful, it choked me up. I didn't start it right at the beginning but sure with I had.

MY SON, MY KING
I hold this tiny hand in mine,
These hands will cause the blind to see
And bless the children one by one,
As they gather 'round His knee.
These tiny feet, so soft and new,
These feet will walk upon the sea,
And many souls will follow Him,
As now He follows me.
Oh that I could keep Him safe from harm,
Right here with me, forever in my arms.

This tiny child is born today,
I can hear the angels sing (Allelujah)
He comes through me to save the world,
This child, My Son, My King.

The shepherds heard the messenger,
They kneel before the manger bed. (Cassie's solo line)
This humble throne where lies a king,
With straw to crown His head.
Wise men and kings will travel far,
They'll come to worship and adore.
This tiny child, my holy Son,
Their king forevermore.
He will be pure and free from sin.
And He will die...... But He will live again.

This tiny child is born today,
I can hear the angels sing (Allelujah)
He comes through me to save the world,
This child, My Son, My King.
He comes through me to save the world......
This child, My Son, My King!
